• Provide sufficient resources and training to achieve health, safety, security, and environmental compliance;

• Integrate health, safety, security, and environmental considerations into all operations, engineering and business processes with clear accountabilities;

• Operate our facilities in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, permits, policies, standards and procedures;

• Measure and report on compliance performance;

• Inform, train and set expectations for employees as to their individual responsibilities for health, safety, security, and environmental performance;

• Understand that compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental laws, and CITGO policies, standards, procedures and rules is a condition of employment;

• Continually review and update emergency response plans and capabilities for all operations in order to prevent or minimize the impact of operational emergencies;

• Measure continuous improvement in injury, illness and incident elimination using management systems that monitor and report performance;

• Promote health, safety, security, and environmental awareness both on and off the job;

• Communicate openly about our policies, programs and operations in order to build strong credible relationships with our communities and governmental agencies;

• Participate in organizations and programs designed to enhance knowledge and/or scientifically address the health, safety, security, and environmental concerns facing our operations.
