Education and Social Investment
Through knowledge, communities are equipped to achieve long-lasting sustainability. That’s why we support educational social initiatives that create meaningful impact while addressing some of today’s biggest societal barriers. Our investments aim to empower people who contribute to the progress and economic growth in their own local communities.
Bronx Social Program

Community Building and Urban Renewal

CITGO, through its charitable organization the Simón Bolívar Foundation®, offers grants to more than 30 non-profit organizations that are dedicated to community development and revitalization in the South Bronx.

John Paul II High School

Creating Opportunities for Academic Success

We helped create an endowment fund that offers opportunities for a quality education to more than 60 students per year in Corpus Christi, home of our Texas-based refinery.

CASA de Maryland

Literacy and Vocational Training for Economic Progress

CITGO has helped more than 20,000 low-income people obtain workforce training, language and financial literacy education in the Washington, D.C. area.

University Scholarships

Empowering Students in the Pursuit of Education

We award scholarships annually to a number of universities and students pursuing academic degrees in engineering, mathematics and other related studies.

Supplier Diversity

Promoting Diversity in Our Communities

Our Supplier Diversity initiative engages the economic participation of Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs).
