The 2010 fund-raising efforts of CITGO Petroleum Corporation’s employees, customers and business associates on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) resulted in a contribution of $12 million.
The total was announced in the annual Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon. With last year’s contribution, CITGO reached over $130 million in its contributions to MDA since 1986, which has been focused on the continuing quest for a cure for neuromuscular disease. CITGO employees, marketers and business associates conduct and participate in scores of fundraising events throughout the year in an effort to contribute to the fight against neuromuscular disease.
CITGO is a proud sponsor of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). MDA is a National voluntary health agency – a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans.
