CITGO’s Environmental Permitting Public Notices Website

In effort to improve public participation in environmental permitting decisions, CITGO has established this website to allow public access to public notices related to environmental permitting activities at CITGO locations. Public notices posted on this website are available for review and download.

A public notice may be required by a state environmental agency if a CITGO facility applies for an environmental permit for a new or modified emissions source located near a school, or if the emissions increase from a new or modified facility exceeds certain threshold levels, or if a new or modified emissions source facility increases the emission of hazardous air pollutants above a certain threshold. Public notices are also required for new, renewed, or significant revisions to Title V permits, as required by federal law.
