HOUSTON, Apr. 23, 2012 -- Recognizing outstanding performance, CITGO Pipeline Company was recently honored with the 2011 Safety Performance Award and the 2011 Environmental Performance Award in the small operator category presented by the American Petroleum Institute (API).
These awards are among the industry’s top honors and are reserved for companies that demonstrate excellence in safety and environmental stewardship. The Occupational Safety Award is presented to companies with the lowest Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable injury and illness incident rates for employees and contractors, while the Environmental Performance Award is presented to companies with a track record of stellar environmental performance.

The awards were presented at API’s 63rd Annual Pipeline Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.
