LITTLE ROCK, Ark., May 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Local CITGO Marketer Flash Market, Inc. and Fueling Good Ambassadors Adam and Diego recently rewarded loyal CITGO customers and celebrated local heroes in Arkansas with special events in April. Adam and Diego traveled from Marion to Little Rock, Ark. for customer appreciation events and visits to schools and local non-profit organizations with Miss Arkansas Amy Crain joining the road trip at several stops.

"We owe so much to our customers. These events were the perfect way to show them how much we care," said Kevin Waller, operations manager at Flash Market. "They also provide a great way to highlight some of the wonderful organizations here in Arkansas. We were delighted to have Adam, Diego and Miss Arkansas visit.  The work CITGO does with the Fueling Good Road Trip is an exciting way to involve the community and show our customers how much we value their support."

On April 15, Adam, Diego and Miss Arkansas visited the Richland Elementary School and spoke to students about anti-bullying awareness, while representatives from Flash Market handed out anti-bullying flyers which included coupons redeemable at participating Flash CITGO locations. Immediately following the visit to Richland Elementary, the group made its way to the Flash Market location in Marion where new customers were able to sign up for CITGO Rewards Credit Cards and participate in a gift card raffle.

Adam and Diego continued their trip to Little Rock for a day of volunteering with Reaching our Children and Neighborhoods (R.O.C.A.N), a local non-profit that provides meals, tutoring, shelter and mentoring to 100 at-risk youth ages six to 18 in North Little Rock. The road trip team then headed to the Arkansas Children's Hospital where Adam and Diego were joined by Miss Arkansas to donate $2,500 in CITGO Gift Cards to the hospital.

The Youth Home, a CITGO Fueling Good Project winner in 2012 that helps children and adolescents who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, social and academic problems, was the last stop of the trip. Adam and Diego toured the facility to see how the organization has benefited from its Fueling Good prize.

The Fueling Good Road Trip will log countless miles throughout several states in 2014.
