LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Aug. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Local CITGO Marketer Flash Market, Inc. and CITGO Petroleum Corporation have teamed up to support the first annual Lander's Harley-Davidson Ride for Life Poker Run which kicks off Sept. 6 in conjunction with the ninth annual Open Bike Rally in Hot Springs, Ark. The fundraising event will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) of Central Arkansas and the poker run will bring motorcyclists together at different checkpoints as they travel across the state.

"We are a huge supporter of the MDA and are excited to sponsor the inaugural poker run event here in Arkansas," said Kevin Waller, operations manager at Flash Market. "In conjunction with CITGO, we are proud to be a part of a team that supports such a worthy cause. The bike ride is a fun way to get the community involved. We hope the success of the opening event will allow us to participate in more fundraising activities like this in the future."

Participating riders will meet at the Lander's Harley-Davidson located at 10210 Interstate 30 in Little Rock to begin their journey. During the weeklong poker run event, riders will travel from Hot Springs through Little Rock and Conway and make their final stop in Fort Smith. The proceeds raised during the rally through sponsorships and special events will support local clinics, care programs and support groups for children and adults in Central Arkansas who are coping with neuromuscular diseases. Some of the funds will also be used to send children from the area to the MDA summer camp.
