Sulphur, La. – Dec. 15, 2015 – CITGO Lake Charles Manufacturing Complex celebrated safety accomplishments during 2015 this Thanksgiving by gifting turkeys to all employees. Some employees chose to donate their turkeys to the community for Thanksgiving and the upcoming Christmas holiday.

Tomeu Vadell, Lake Charles Manufacturing Complex Vice President and General Manager said the donations are a testament to CITGO employees’ generosity. “Our employees take it upon themselves to go above and beyond the call of duty taking care of this community. Not only do they give generously to United Way and volunteer their time through Team CITGO, but they look for opportunities like this one to stay committed to providing for the community we love to call home,” he said.

Sixty turkeys were donated by CITGO to the Lion’s Club and were kept at Brookshire Brothers for freezing until distribution for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Turkeys were donated to needy families during Thanksgiving and will be donated throughout the holiday season.
