HOUSTON – July 13, 2015 – Starting July 13, educators seeking to improve their schools can enter the CITGO Fueling Education program offering teachers, student teachers and PTA/PTO members the chance to win $1,000 in school supplies for their classrooms. Eligible K-12 public school educators can visit the Fueling Good Facebook page to register through Oct. 18, 2015. Multiple winners will be randomly selected each week during the 14-week campaign, and more than $100,000 in school supplies from National School Supply will be awarded overall.

Now in its third year, the CITGO Fueling Education program is reaching more teachers than ever:  a total of 112 winners will be selected from the 28 states in which CITGO operates, as well as the District of Columbia.

“There is a multiplier effect with our Fueling Education initiative, as each teacher we help passes on his or her prize to a whole classroom of students,” said Rick Esser, vice president of Supply & Marketing for CITGO. “Giving educators what they need to succeed is an investment in the future of our communities.”

Winning teachers can use their prize money to shop at National School Supply, which has an inventory of more than 25,000 classroom supplies.

“Great teachers don’t always have access to the great resources they need,” said Sean Buyeske, managing director of National School Supply. “Our partnership with CITGO allows us to offer our wide selection of high quality school supplies to deserving educators throughout the country.”
