ERIE, Penn.  – July 16, 2015 – For the second consecutive year, local CITGO Marketer Country Fair, Inc. and CITGO Petroleum Corporation are teaming up to support the Roar on the Shore® motor bike rally in Erie, hosted by the Manufacturer & Business Association. The bike rally, which will be held from July 15 to 18, will bring together more than 150,000 bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country for fun and good cause: Erie Homes for Children and Adults’ Project First Step. 

Project First Step provides services and resources to expectant mothers, young children and families in need. Since inception in 2007, Roar on the Shore® has raised nearly $800,000 for various local charitable organizations.

“We are excited that Country Fair and CITGO are joining us again this year,” said Tammy Polanski, director of marketing for the Manufacturer & Business Association. “Roar on the Shore is all about making a positive, meaningful impact here in the local community, which is something CITGO and Country Fair have done for years. We’re looking forward to having them on site with us and appreciate their contributions to Roar on the Shore, the biker community and Project First Step.” 

Country Fair will sponsor the rally’s main stage, which will host local, regional and tribute bands as well as the crowning of Miss Roar on the Shore® 2015-2016. Country Fair and CITGO will also be on-site throughout the week, offering the chance to win tickets to the Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen Speedway, in addition to selling beer mugs and do-rags. At select Country Fair locations, exclusive Roar on the Shore® Zippo® lighters will also be available for purchase for a limited time. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to sign up for the new Club CITGO mobile app, which provides access to great deals and specials every day, including prizes and giveaways. Those who sign up for Club CITGO on-site during the event and also check-in at the Country Fair event booth using the app will receive a $2 gas reward and be entered for the one in four chance to win another $5 gas reward. In addition, attendees who check-in at the event booth via the Club CITGO app will also be eligible for the chance to win two free Rocket 101 Beer Garden passes, to enjoy premium concert viewing of the Country Fair Main Stage.  For every download and check-in, Country Fair and CITGO will also donate $1 to Project First Step. Roar on the Shore® is one of the 50 events Country Fair is involved in this summer to celebrate its 50th anniversary and give back to the community it serves.
