On Oct. 9, Hurricane Delta came onshore near Creole, La. as a Category 2 hurricane, just six weeks after Hurricane Laura took a similar path. Residents and our employees in the Lake Charles area, who are still recovering from Laura, endured winds near 100 mph which, this time around, were accompanied by heavy rain.

Our thoughts are with people of Southwest Louisiana as they absorb the aftermath of another major storm. Today, one of our first priorities is to confirm the safety of our employees and their families, and then to assist employees with emergency situations at their primary residence.

Initial assessment of the refinery has revealed no safety incidents nor flooding related issues as a result of the storm. Within the next 48 hours, we will assess possible damages and determine when normal operations will resume.

We understand the importance of maintaining supply to our customers and the American economy and will be working diligently to safely bring the refinery back online in the coming weeks.
