CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – March 18, 2025 – CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery (CCR) continues its longstanding partnership with the United Way through its 2025 Giving Campaign. Within two weeks of kickoff, employees surpassed the goal on the way to pledging a record-breaking amount of more than $772,000 for the United Way of the Coastal Bend. The total includes a $100,000 donation from CITGO Corporate along with the current contributions from CCR employees.

Every year, CITGO commits its financial support to the dozens of non-profit agencies the United Way serves. Since 2009, CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery Employees have generously donated more than $8.8 million to the United Way of the Coastal Bend.

“At CITGO, we work every year to build on an already strong legacy of giving back to our community. This United Way campaign is one of the strongest examples of that legacy,” said Ryan Vining, Vice President and General Manager, CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery. “After 15 years of generous giving, our employees continue to make selfless contributions to the United Way to improve the lives of our neighbors in need. We are proud to have such amazing people on our team.”

United Way of the Coastal Bend gives more than $2.5 million to local non-profits. Currently, it serves more than 60 organizations in ten counties with a goal to change lives in the areas of education, health and financial stability.
