The Simón Bolívar Foundation categorically rejects the false accusations made Wednesday, Sept. 29, by the Maduro regime regarding the Simón Bolívar Foundation and its president, Mariela Poleo, who joined the Foundation in 2020 following a competitive selection process.

The facts about the Foundation and its critical work may be found at www.simonbolivarfoundation.org. Visitors to the site can study the Foundation’s first-ever annual report for 2020 charitable activities, understand its guiding mission and learn about all the programs, including grant agreements underway benefiting more than 100,000 vulnerable Venezuelan people and others in need. The annual report also details the Foundation’s actual budget. Additionally, the Foundation’s annual tax returns can be found on the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website.

Today and every day, the Simon Bolivar Foundation remains committed to its mission: improving the health of vulnerable individuals affected by disaster, conflict and poverty, with special attention to mothers and children in and from Venezuela.
